Trump’s EPA is working to end regulation of the pollution causing climate change. The EPA has proposed rescinding the “Endangerment Finding” which would eliminate the requirement to protect communities from all sources of climate change emissions.

If Trump is successful, it would mean that the EPA doesn’t need to do its number one job: protect people from the ravages of climate change. This will accelerate multi-billion-dollar disasters and heat waves, and harm the health of millions of people.

Right now, Trump’s EPA is taking comments as part of an official comment period. We need to flood the agency with comments in opposition.

Do Not Rescind the Endangerment Finding

The US EPA’s proposal to rescind the “Endangerment Finding” and Greenhouse Gas Vehicle Standards is dangerous and ignores the scientific and real-life evidence documenting the impacts of climate change -- including the recent floods in Texas, fires in Los Angeles, and heatwaves nationwide.

The proposal also violates the law and stands in direct conflict with the EPA’s Congressionally mandated mission to protect our health and the environment.

If this proposal is finalized, polluters will get richer while everyday people will pay the price – with our health, our wallets, and our lives.

Future generations, our children and grandchildren, will pay an even greater price for privileging corporate greed over the common good.

This proposal will also compound the suffering experienced by communities across the country, especially the most vulnerable communities, due to the escalating intensity of extreme weather events amplified by fossil fuel pollution.
