Do Not Rescind the Endangerment Finding
The US EPA’s proposal to rescind the “Endangerment Finding” and Greenhouse Gas Vehicle Standards is dangerous and ignores the scientific and real-life evidence documenting the impacts of climate change -- including the recent floods in Texas, fires in Los Angeles, and heatwaves nationwide.
The proposal also violates the law and stands in direct conflict with the EPA’s Congressionally mandated mission to protect our health and the environment.
If this proposal is finalized, polluters will get richer while everyday people will pay the price – with our health, our wallets, and our lives.
Future generations, our children and grandchildren, will pay an even greater price for privileging corporate greed over the common good.
This proposal will also compound the suffering experienced by communities across the country, especially the most vulnerable communities, due to the escalating intensity of extreme weather events amplified by fossil fuel pollution.
This proposal to rescind the Endangerment Finding and Greenhouse Gas Vehicle Standards would cause chaos and harm, exacerbate the devastating impacts of extreme weather events and put public health, the economy, and our climate at risk. I oppose your blatant attempt to deliver handouts to big polluters while stripping communities and our planet of climate safeguards.
