Chances are I am not the first, and will not be the last, to ask you to celebrate the national day of giving.
But what I need your help on today will impact much more than today or this year – what I am asking for will change our lives and those of our children.
As I write, Monsanto is at Stage 2 of a four-stage process to bring two varieties of GE wheat to production. By engineering wheat to tolerate powerful agricultural herbicides (like Monsanto’s Roundup), they hope to be able to spray all the toxic chemicals they want on fields and still grow wheat.
We need your support now to make sure the FDA does not make another terrible mistake in approving unlabeled GE wheat.
Millions of people around the world rely on American-grown wheat as a primary source of calories and protein. They shouldn’t have to endanger their health just to feed their families … and neither should you.
There is still time to stop GE wheat and its associated pesticides from poisoning our bread and our bodies--but we must act now.
I won’t give up until GE wheat is stopped and I know you won’t either! Especially not when our GMO Inside campaign has been achieving a series of critical victories against some of the world’s biggest companies.
We pushed General Mills to remove a GMO ingredient from Cheerios … we achieved additional big anti-GMO wins with Hershey, Chobani, Campbell’s, and Similac baby formula … I believe we can prevent GE wheat from taking over if we rise up now, stand strong, and say “No” to GMOs once again!
Please help us achieve our BIGGEST EVER victory against GMO crops and stop GE wheat from being planted by sending your most generous, tax-deductible donation to Green America today, #GivingTuesday.
Every voice counts, so does every dollar! We can't do it without you,
