GMO Inside - If corporations won't label GMOs, then we the people will.
Dear Green American ,

No GMOs, Cheerios! Breakfast is not a science experiment.Everyone should have the right to choose foods that are safe for themselves, their families, and the environment.  Unfortunately, when it comes to GMOs, Americans are left in the dark about GMOs in some of their most-loved, most-trusted brands.

General Mills claims to manufacture wholesome and healthy products when in reality its brands, including Cheerios, contain GMOs.  While General Mills promotes Cheerios for their use of whole grain and natural oats, it is silent about the fact that many of the other ingredients in Cheerios sold in the US are at high risk of being genetically modified, including modified corn starch, sugar, and vitamin E.  That’s why we need to make millions of Americans aware of GMOs in America’s #1 breakfast cereal and put pressure on General Mills to get them out.

In Europe, General Mills has found a way to sell Cheerios without any GMOs, but here in the US General Mills has spent millions to block our right to know which foods contain GMOs.  In California the company spent more than $1.1 million to stop the labeling of GMO foods, and in Washington State it is funding the No on 522 campaign through the Grocery Manufacturers Association, which has already contributed over $7 million.

GMO Inside released a hard-hitting report today revealing all the deception that is packed into a box of Cheerios.

You've been taking action with us all year.  Now it's time to take action against Cheerios:

1. Sign our petition to tell General Mills you don’t want GMOs in your Cheerios!  Then, share with all your friends and family and get them to take action too!

2. Take a stand for GMO labeling by endorsing Yes on 1-522.  Don’t let corporate America block our right to know.

3. Read "Deception at General Mills: The Real Corporate Social Responsibility Report"

4. Watch this video highlighting the concerns with GMOs in Cheerios.
