GMO Inside - If corporations won't label GMOs, then we the people will.
Dear Green American ,

This month GMO Inside is taking on our most important campaign yet – calling on infant formula manufacturers to remove GMOs!

Gerber Baby FoodFor infants who can’t nurse, formula is the first and only food they consume.

GMOs have never been proven safe for human consumption and the inadequate research that has been done on GMOs does not look at long term effects in humans, let alone infants, who are more vulnerable to the risks of GMOs and exposure to the herbicides used in GMO production.

Similac, Enfamil, and Gerber Good Start are the brands exposing American and Canadian babies to unhealthy and under-studied GMOs.

These brands parent companies – Abbott Laboratories, Mead Johnson Nutrition, and Nestlé – spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to vote down GMO labeling in California last year, thus obstructing a parent’s right to know whether or not the first food they are feeding their newborns contains GMOs.  A right granted to parents in 62 other countries because the labeling of GMO ingredients is required by law, including China, Mexico, and Russia.

Join us in telling Abbott, Mead Johnson and Nestle “Our babies deserve better than GMOs!”
